Happy Birthday Dotti!

Mark's mom and dad Dotti and Tom came to visit this weekend, and we had a birthday party for mom on Saturday. For those of you who don't know, she is a wonderful artist so I made her an artist's palette cake with a paint brush. Happy Birthday!

We didn't have candles so Mark was able to improvise.

A Present From Alex

So right now Alex really loves to hand me things. Anything he can find he likes to bring to me, like rocks, toys, dog food, etc. So one morning I was reading the newspaper, and Alex handed me something. Well it turns out that something just happened to be his poop. He had pooped and taken off his diaper fished it out and handed it to me. It was funny but gross. The really funny thing is that Mark tried to grab it from me because he couldn't tell what it was (he thought it was a bagel)! So after that Alex and Mark decided to take a bubble bath and they had lots of fun in our jetted tub. Luckily for you I put a picture of that on instead of poop.

Welcome Home Party

We had a surprise welcome home party for Mark at the Fun Park this weekend because he surprised us and came home for a few days. He is going to leave again sometime soon, but we are glad to have him here as much as we can!

Here is Mark probably throwing a strike, and Kristi laughing because she got a gutter ball.

The Gilberts were able to get a difficult split by sending two balls down at the same time. It was pretty cool, they both hit the pins at the same time and they got a spare!

Here's the whole group, it was a pretty fun party

After bowling we played arcade games and the kids played in the soft play section. All of the adults played a rousing game of laser tag. Next time we are all going to gang up on Brady because he killed us!

Pittsburgh!

Alex and I planned a surprise (kind of) trip to Pittsburgh to visit Mark this weekend. I was a little nervous about how Alex would handle all of the traveling, but everything went well and we had lots of fun! Thanks for the fun weekend Mark, it was great!

Alex was glad to see his da da

We went to the Pittsburgh zoo, and the baby elephants were our favorite part, aren't they cute?
Then of course we had to have ice cream.
